JOB TITLE:RAW MATERIALS PURCHASING OFFICER (GRAINS BACKGROUND)
Location: Mwanza
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for cost effective procurement
- Getting quotation from different vendors/suppliers
- Ensure timely availability of material and release of vendor payment.
- Purchasing of raw maize, soya, sunflower and other raw materials.
- Raw material and ingredient stock keeping and ordering to ensure the minimum inventory levels are kept.
- Ensure raw materials meet the standards for quality and nutritional value
- Periodically testing the nutritional value of raw materials.
- Investigating nutritional disorders and the safe storage of feeds.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Feed Science or related field from an accredited institution.
- 3 years purchasing experience, at least 2 years in related field
- Excellent negotiation skills, critical
- Need to have effective communication skills and be self-motivated to gain results – essential
- Basic Computer skills
